“Entering the Computer Lab”
( Technology Class)
Explain
State the procedure – Today we will learn how to enter the computer lab and begin working.
Generate rationale – This is important so that no one gets pushed or hurt while entering and so we make the best use of our valuable technology time.
Explain and model the procedure –
1. Line up outside the classroom door.
2. Wait until teacher meets you at the door.
3. Walk quietly to your assigned computer.
4. Begin working on the program up on your screen.
“Exiting the Computer Lab”
Explain
State the procedure – Today we will learn what to do at the end of Technology class.
Generate rationale – This is important so that you get credit for your work and exit the room in a safe orderly fashion.
Explain and model the procedure –
1. Save your work and exit the computer program.
2. Take off your headphones.
3. Push in your chair.
4. Clean up around your computer.
5. Quietly line up along the wall and wait for your homeroom teacher.
